PB2 - Patrick Byrne Peanut Butter Global Nutrition - Online drive led by Thomas Byrne, Emily Rodgers, Teddy Vermylen, and Brendan Rochelle
The PB2 program was started in memory of Patrick Byrne, who passed away in 2010. Patrick had a big heart and a love of peanut butter. The mission of his namesake charity is to collect peanut butter to be donated to orphanages in the Dominican Republic and Haiti with the help of our partner, Foundation for Peace. (www.foundationforpeace.org)
Peanut butter is inexpensive, easily transported and non-perishable, making it an ideal choice of nutrition for third-world countries.
This years drive will be led by teams in two New Jersey high schools: Morristown High School (Thomas Byrne and Brendan Rochelle) and Delbarton High School (Teddy Vermylen) as well as one in Massachusetts: East Longmeadow High School (Emily Rodgers).
It's easy to help! To purchase food online, just click the "Donate to This drive" button and select the food you want to contribute. At the end of the drive, the food will be delivered to Foundation For Peace and for you and you will receive a tax receipt for your support!
