GenNx Raises $10,000 Worth of Toys Over the Holidays In Less Than Two Weeks

Since 2006, charitable giving and volunteerism have been corporate priorities for GenNx360, a private equity firm located in NYC. One of the commitments of the GenNx Foundation, a philanthropic arm fully funded by the company, is to strive to act responsibly across the globe, with a focus on social causes, such as under-served children, educational initiatives and worldwide disaster relief efforts.

GenNx’s philanthropic initiatives have resulted in an estimated $1.5 million in donations to university board memberships, charitable foundations, arts and theatre groups, as well as local community and health centers.

For the 2014 holiday season, GenNx’s initiative was to support local, needy children by raising toys to donate to a church program in Corona, NY. On Thanksgiving Day, a call came in to YouGiveGoods to partner in this program. As timing was crucial, YGG worked with GenNx to successfully implement a live, online toy drive the very next day.

Carmen Rojas, an Investor Relations Manager at GenNx360 Capital Partners, spearheaded the online campaign with her office and quickly got the word out to her employees in order to have the toys delivered on time. Our combined efforts enabled the drive to generate over $10,000 in toys in less than two weeks. The end result brought tears to St. Leo’s Roman Catholic Church staff members when they saw the generous amount of toy donations on delivery day.

Partners and employees of the firm agreed that using an online solution to make their year-end contributions added to the success of the event. Employees embraced the cause with such enthusiasm that last-minute donations were placed at their annual holiday party.

Special thanks to Carmen for initiating and executing a wonderful company effort to benefit a much-deserved cause.
