Others in our community need our help - DONATE GOODS TODAY!
Adopt A Rescue Pet, formerly known as “
Shelter Dog Rescueâ€, was created by a group of individuals who rescued “purebred†dogs scheduled for euthanasia at animal shelters in the Clark County, Nevada area.
By January of 1999,
Shelter Dog Rescue had grown into an organization that included volunteers who rescued a variety of animals needing a second chance at finding a loving home. Such animals included cats, ferrets, rabbits, pond fish and all types of dogs.
Since obtaining non-profit approval in 2000,
Adopt A Rescue Pet has grown to be one of Nevada's largest animal rescue groups providing a safe haven for dogs suffering from abuse, neglect or homelessness. In most of these cases, death would have resulted if the animal had entered a municipally funded shelter.
Currently,
Adopt A Rescue Pet houses rescued dogs in foster homes, local boarding facilities, and our "under construction" rescue ranch & retirement facility.
Adopt A Rescue Pet receives no local or federal funding, it relies solely on the generosity of its contributors and tax deductible donations received from the public.
