In communities like Mott Haven in the South Bronx and Brownsville in Brooklyn, the median household income is only $27,300. Families are struggling to make ends meet, especially through the COVID-19 pandemic. Parents in these communities often make the difficult decision not to give their child a holiday gift because they are unable to afford it. YOU have the power to deliver a little holiday magic and joy to these families!
Help United Way of New York City (UWNYC) reach our goal of supporting 2,446 ReadNYC students by sponsoring or shopping in our virtual 2021 Holiday Gift Drive event to help spread some holiday cheer to low-income students.
Although we are unable to host an in-person drive, we are excited to renew our partnership with YouGiveGoods to make this year’s drive completely virtual. Additionally, UWNYC will receive a 5% cash donation based on the total dollar amount of items purchased through your company’s sponsored drive!
