Investing in our communities.
Help relieve hunger in the communities where we live and work and participate in the Electronic Systems’ annual food drive.
More than 38 million people, including 12 million children in the United States, are food insecure, meaning they do not have consistent access to enough food to live an active, healthy life. Food insecurity exists in every community and affects people from all walks of life. Many families who experience food insecurity do not qualify for federal nutrition programs and rely on local food banks and other foodservice programs for extra support.
Many of the organizations below are BAE Systems Community Impact Grant recipients, which were nominated by employees, and this is just another way for us to continue to support these amazing organizations. It’s easy to get involved and impact the lives of others who are experiencing food insecurity:
Donate items virtually: Click on SHOP next to the organization you would like to support. Each nonprofit has listed their most needed items. Purchase the items you would like to donate and you’ll receive an immediate tax receipt for your donation after check out. At the end of the drive all items will be sent directly to the nonprofit organization.
Donate in-person: To make a donation in-person visit your local OneSpace page for the donation bin location at your office. Employees in Austin, Burlington, Cedar Rapids, Endicott, Fort Wayne, Huntsville, Lexington, Manassas, New Hampshire, Rome, San Diego, Wayne, and Totowa have the option to make an on-site donation.
Join the “All in” Challenge: Log your participation in the food drive as part of the “All in” challenge, an initiative designed to engage and reward employees for their involvement in Community Investment activities.
