For ALICE® (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) families living paycheck to paycheck and households in poverty, the holiday season puts even more stress on already stretched budgets.  In addition to facing difficult choices, such as paying the heating bill or putting food on the table, these families are forced to weigh the financial consequences of participating in the season's festivities.

With the community's help, United Way Gifts of the Season distributes more than 6,000 holiday gifts annually to children, teens, senior citizens and adults with special needs experiencing financial hardship across northern New Jersey.
