In Memory of Jeffrey Safran - giving back to the island that gave him so much.

Many of you have texted us with sincere gratitude for knowing him or just hearing about him.  The two common words found in almost every message was how generous and genuine Jeff was.  We appreciate those beautiful words especially knowing that these are the same words that we would use to describe him as well.  It just shows the type of person he was and how he will be remembered – a truly genuine person who always put others before himself.

Jeff's proudest moments were him standing in place as the true patriarch of his family.  Whether it was his immediate family, his extended family, his work family or among friends, he loved nothing more than just being there for people.  As a thank you to him and all he has done, we are asking that in lieu of flowers or baskets, you make a food donation in his name per the instructions below to Long Island Cares - The Harry Chapin Fund.

Long Island has given so much back to Jeff and his family.  We feel the ideal drive should help out Long Island Cares, the Harry Chapin Fund and for those that are in need.  Jeff liked Harry Chapin especially Cats in the Cradle which is about a dad watching his son grow up to be just like him.
