During this Pandemic, things have not been easy for anyone. David and I went through a period where we were both laid off at the same time. Thankfully, we had our home, and we had food on our table. In honor of my 35th birthday, I'm inviting family and friends to donate to a wondeful org, Rosie's Place, that provides nourishment and community to women in Boston who need it most. Before the pandemic, I was lucky enough to volunteer and serve a few meals, and my favorite part was helping these people feel seen and cared for at a time when they needed it. I hope you will consider donating to Rosie's Place. Below is more information written by the org.
Rosie’s Place guests have always struggled with hunger. Right now, the food programs are more important than ever. Many of the guests are out of work and food budgets are stretched to the limit. With your help, they can continue to provide nourishment to 250 women each day to help feed the more than 500 members of their households. Being there for the guests drives all they do; it is what motivates them to constantly adapt to remain open for women who depend on them when so much else is falling away. Your generous support carries them through this challenging time. You can help in 1 of 2 ways:
1) DONATE FOOD ONLINE: Click SHOP NOW to purchase much needed essentials. In addition to getting the food they need, Rosie's Place receives a 5% cash donation from YouGiveGoods based on purchases from any sponsor drive.
2) MAKE A CASH DONATION: Click here if you prefer to make a monetary donation towards our programs.
THANK YOU!
Online prices include shipping, handling and YouGiveGoods services. You will be emailed a tax receipt at the time of purchase. All goods ordered online will be shipped directly to Rosie's Place after the drive ends.
