Help Food Pantry Serve Community During COVID-19

New Hope Community Ministries is laser-focused on providing critical food aid to families suffering from the economic fallout of COVID-19. Approximately 30% of Haledon and Prospect Park, NJ households have incomes that qualify for food assistance. That is over 4,000 people. This population is particularly vulnerable in economic downturns in which layoffs, work stoppages, and reduction of hours are widespread. The need for food assistance will greatly increase in the next few weeks and months as the community faces the economic consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

This is the time when our community needs us the most. We need you to step up and help us support these families. As the need for food assistance increases, our normal food supply is in jeopardy. 70% of our food comes from individuals, most of which is collected at local churches. With churches not meeting and people practicing social distancing, our incoming food supply will drop significantly unless we change our strategy. That's where YouGiveGoods comes in.

This service is completely free for New Hope! When you buy an item, the cost of packaging and shipping to New Hope is all included in the price. So, if the item seems a bit more expensive than it would be in a grocery store, it's because all of the processing is included, enabling New Hope to focus it's financial resources on helping people in need.
