Help Support Afghan Refugees Coming to NJ
at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst

In the last week of August, over 9,500 Afghan refugees were safely transferred to Fort Dix located in New Jersey. With only the clothes on their backs and limited items, they are now starting the process of starting a new life in the United States. With this immediate and unexpected change for many families, the need is great. The United Ways of Greater Newark, Hunterdon County and Northern New Jersey have come together to ask our partners, donors and volunteers to support the refugees by purchasing goods that can be shipped directly to Fort Dix. At this time, we are not collecting financial donations, but would rather interested donors purchase and ship items directly.
