School supplies have gotten more expensive -- rising to an average $80 per child annually, according to inflation data.

For ALICE^® (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) families and those in poverty struggling to afford basics, such as rent and food, providing necessary back-to-school supplies is an added financial hardship.
